Christopher Hillary launched Roubaix's fundamental long/short equity strategy in January 2010. As of June 30, 2026, Roubaix manages approximately $302 million in assets under management.
The firm has three full-time investment professionals with an average of more than 18 years investment experience.


Mr. Hillary founded Roubaix Capital in May 2015 and serves as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer. From 2010 to present, he has served as portfolio manager of the Roubaix Long/Short Strategy. Prior to founding Roubaix, Mr. Hillary was a Founding Partner and served as a Senior Analyst at Independence Capital Asset Partners since its inception in 2004 through its transition to Roubaix in 2015. Mr. Hillary was an Analyst at Marsico Capital Management working for their International Opportunities Fund. Mr. Hillary began his career on Morgan Stanley’s bond desk in New York City. Mr. Hillary is a graduate of Rutgers College and earned an MBA at the University of Colorado.


Mr. O’Toole joined the firm in August 2019 as a Research Analyst. Prior to Roubaix, Mr. O’Toole served in a similar capacity at 22NW Fund, a small cap long/short equity fund since 2015. During 2014, Mr. O’Toole was a consultant for Engine Capital Management, a value-oriented event-driven fund. From 2006 through 2013, Mr. O’Toole was a research analyst at Systematic Financial Management where he worked on their small and mid cap value strategies. From 2000 through 2006 Mr. O’Toole held equity research analyst positions with progressively greater responsibility at Strong Capital Management, Northpointe Capital, and RCM (part of Allianz Global Investors). Mr. O’Toole earned a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis. He is also a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute.


Mr. Schoolcraft joined the firm in June 2024 as a Research Analyst. Prior to joining Roubaix, Mr. Schoolcraft served as a Research Analyst at Copley Equity Partners in 2023. Additionally, Mr. Schoolcraft has served in a Director role for the BCS Family Foundation since 2015. From 2014 to 2021, Mr. Schoolcraft played professional golf on various tours in the United States and Canada including PGA Tour Canada and Korn Ferry Tour. Mr. Schoolcraft earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Oklahoma and earned an MBA from the University of Denver.


Mr. Fletcher joined Roubaix in September 2020. Previously, Mr. Fletcher served as Operations Manager at Aduro Advisors from 2019 to 2020 where he consulted emerging venture capital managers on all accounting, operations, and financial functions. From 2014 to 2019, Mr. Fletcher was a Senior Financial Analyst at ALPS, an SS&C Company, having spent his first several years in hedge fund accounting. Mr. Fletcher holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana Tech University.


Ms. Shanker was appointed Chief Operations Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Roubaix upon its formation in May 2015 and transitioned to Chief Legal Officer in March 2024. She originally joined Independence Capital Asset Partners as Compliance Manager in 2012 and became its Chief Compliance Officer in 2014. From 2009 to 2012, Ms. Shanker was an independent legal and compliance consultant for investment advisers, broker-dealers and other financial institutions. From 2000 to 2009, Ms. Shanker was Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for two distributing broker-dealers of ING. Prior to joining ING, Ms. Shanker was in the Legal/Compliance departments of MetLife and AXA from 1994 to 2000 where she provided advice on broker-dealer and investment advisor regulation. From 1990 to 1994, Ms. Shanker was an attorney in private practice in New York where she specialized in investment company, investment advisor, and bank regulation at Rogers & Wells (NKA Clifford Chance) and Schulte Roth & Zabel. Ms. Shanker holds a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University and a JD from New York University School of Law and is a member of the bar in New York, Colorado and Connecticut.


Mr. Nguyen joined Roubaix in April 2025. Prior to joining Roubaix, Mr. Nguyen served as a Fund Accounting Supervisor at Kaufman Rossin Alternative Investment Services from 2022 to 2025 where he delivered comprehensive fund administration services to a diverse portfolio of hedge fund and private equity clients, overseeing all aspects of accounting and operations. From 2017 to 2021, Mr. Nguyen was a Senior Fund Accountant at ALPS, an SS&C Company. Mr. Nguyen has worked in the fund administration space for seven years and holds a Bachelor of Science – Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and a Certificate in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Colorado Denver – Business School.


Mr. Martin joined Roubaix in January 2026. Previously, Mr. Martin served as Head of Business Development for Avego/Velan Capital, an investment firm that managed dedicated healthcare sector funds across long/short equity, private equity, and venture capital funds. From 2011 to 2022 Mr. Martin led fundraising for Newbrook Capital, a fundamental long/short equity fund, where he launched new products including a long-only fund, insurance-dedicated fund, and best ideas SMA. Previously, Mr. Martin raised institutional hedge fund capital as a placement agent at Atlantic-Pacific Capital (2007 to 2010) and at Credit Suisse’s Private Funds Group (2005 to 2007). Mr. Martin began his career in Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan (1999 to 2005) in Hedge Fund Coverage in Financial Institutions Group and in Private Placements. Mr. Martin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from James Madison University and an MBA at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
